It means a kind of free sharing of knowledge, it gives no control over content, and makes verification of data difficult. It requires sharp eyes, and a critical mind to avoid being taken into, or getting into trouble by following false information or processes/meeting the wrong people. But how can a layman distinguish between false and correct content on the world wide web?
It also leads to a separation from real life, a feeling of isolation. You can easily get lost among the vast downpour of information without any support or guideline. On the other hand, in the past, skills and knowledge were passed on by predecessors, that is from father to son. There used to be a person exercising tight control over the learning process which allowed the apprentice just enough space to grow but be helped out just in case.
GLI:N compiled the agenda of all the workshops keeping the above in mind. In accordance with our Credo, we strongly believe in human added value. Our vision is to have the power of small communities revived, through which we can all experience the power of human interaction, the power of support with high standard of expertise along with tradition and personally needs-tailored care.
Have a GLI:N weekend
Rita
